In the quest to show up to the mat every day, sometimes it turns out child's pose is a good option.
I invited a friend to practice with me on Sunday, which will be my 365th day in a row of yoga. He said, "That's amazing. You do know you're supposed to take a few days off, right?"
My response was something about a restorative class once a week. In the end, there have been days of easy practice and days of difficult practice. I've adopted child's pose as my go to opt-out when the body is worn out.
