I was right yesterday. Today it is pretty clear that the feeling I was having was a combination of physical soreness and actual cold/flu. Today it is pretty clear that I'm well down the path of an old fashioned cold. And yet, I still have to fly to Lubbock.
I have flown a lot in the past few years. I've flown enough to maintain a companion pass and A-List Preferred. A-List Preferred gets me free wifi in the air. Companion pass, which is one of the best perks in the airline industry, let's Kim fly for free. I've flown a lot, and yet - I still love to fly.
That feeling at rotation when the nose wheel hops off the ground. That feeling when the wings assume the weight and wheels spin freely for just a few seconds. The climbing bank. The gentle turn to two seven zero. There's nothing about it that I don't like.
I'm still fascinated by it.
