Kim and I made a pilgrimage today, of sorts. We hopped a flight this morning and winged our way from BNA to OAK. We picked up our Hertz ride and drove right into downtown San Francisco.
We didn't stop. We drove across the Bay Bridge, through SF, to the Golden Gate, and across. We took a quick break at FISH in Sausalito. They do a crab roll, similar to a Maine-style lobster roll, but with crab. Amazing ....
We took the 101 to Hwy 1 and drove up and over to Stinson, where we followed 1 north.
We got to Point Reyes around 2:00 pm. We strolled. We burned up a couple of minutes waiting to check into our Airbnb.
We walked up a hill at the end of a long drive. Passed a house. Followed the gravel path and the maple leaf signs. Up the steps. Across the courtyard. Up the next steps.
You can see Tomales Bay. The place is surrounded by Japanese maples. It's like a treehouse. It's raining.
We took a nap.
We got up around 5:30. We took a short drive over to Point Reyes Yoga. We met the instructor at the door. It was pouring rain. People filtered in, shaking off rain and chill.
MC Yogi was our teacher for the hour and a half class. It was one of the most balanced and fluid classes I've ever taken. If you get a chance to make a trip to Point Reyes, you should find a class at Pointe Reyes Yoga. It is a lovely thing.
