Part 23 - Love

What's the premise of the golden rule?

· mind,body,yoga,consistency

"... Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."

- Matthew 22:39 KJV

I think most people find this primarily a directive to love your neighbor. But the premise is that you love yourself first "as thyself."

If we do not take the time to care for ourselves, we can not effectively love others. It's quite simple, really.

I have taken some degree of shit for carving out the time to take in a daily practice of yoga. I do not apologize. I find that when I carve out that time for self-maintenance, I have more energy and ability to help others.

Go now, take care of you.
